Not impressed at all.. They never return our phone calls.. we got half our order in May and it is gone and we are just finishing July.. It was supposed to last 6 months. ITs an total rip off ... Dont do it,, turn away before they scam you too!

I just wanted to say that I have a family of 6 and have been with Direct to home for a few years now. The meat is great and I have had no issues with the customer service. Every company has some negative sides to it but in my opinion the positive way outweighs the negative. Thanks Direct to Home Grocery for making my life a lot easier.

This is my 3rd year with direct to homes groceries, LOVE the meat and the steak is DELICIOUS. The packaging is also really convenient. Also love how they have alot of organic meals!
Poor. There is no customer service. We received the food, which may or may not be good quality. They delivered a freezer and their guys did NOT turn it on. Plugged it in only. When we call to discuss, there was no customer service, no follow up, no investigation, just contact your insurer. NO company that is any good would not follow up and ensure their customer is happy. So a years worth of meat ruined. Awful follow up. Awful customer service. No reputable company acts this way. if 100% satisfaction guarantee is your motto, why is no one returning our calls? Why is no one investigating? I assure you, we thought those who set up the freezer turned it on. It was plugged in only. Not a single follow up - just pay the bill please. I have not yet begun to be vocal about how disappointed I am.

You pay the same price for groceries whether you buy hot dogs or steaks. You get the run around if you question anything or have any type of complaint. I think 2 people work in the office and those two do everything. Their boss throws them under the bus and is rude, sarcastic, angry. Even their delivery guy has bad things to say. Don't give them a second of your time.
We are very happy with our food order with DTH. Everything came as expected and the staff that helped us from start to finish were wonderful. the best part about this experience was getting to custom choose what I wanted and not being forced to take specific things. This program works very well for our family

Poor a rep just left our home in a storm. He was not happy that I made the coment that I like to feel what I buy. He didn't like that I need to see the food I purchase or asked the various sizes of the items to know what we would be getting. He said he was I sulted and when I was not ready to give out my personal information for them to run a credit check because he had not gained my trust, he left .. he threw his pen on the table and left.
Great company with great products. As always, sceptical at first but once I did my research and tried the service I was happy with my decision to go ahead with it. It also made me feel better seeing they are an A rating with the better business bureau.
I will definitely use their service again
Direct to Home Grocery is a great company, Ive been with them for a year now and I am very pleased. The service and the quality of food are great. I love the convenience of having my food delivered to me and in my cupboards and freezer. When preparing my meals it has saved me money and trips to the grocery store.
The service has been great when you call you are speaking to someone not an answering service. Any issues with a roast I cooked and or did not like something or that has expired or just want to exchange something or somethings I have to much of. No hassle and was given suggestions and quick exchange delivery. If they can not get to delivery anything in a reasonable time they send out gift card(s) for you to shop at your favorite store.
I want to Thank Cheryl for answering all my questions, making this first time experience great and for always giving quality customer service.

They are good but really only for families. If your just a couple then not the best for my family of 3 they worked with us and halfed the order and the price. The meat, canned goods, pasta and cleaning supplies ( dish and washer detergent ) but cerial did not last.
I would recomend it after doing our calculations it makes sense and offsets our grocery bill appropriately and for people who complaine about price me and my wife are both blue collar workes.
We have just received our order from direct to home. The customer service was outstanding. As a business owner my self I can really appreciate how they were there for me when I wanted to switch around my order before it was delivered. We have received everything ordered and are extremely satisfied with the high quality of the meat.

Then you have to go out and buy more and more of the groceries that you should have got from the company. Trust me I kept a very good record. I am a customer of Direct To Home Grocery and would like to take this opportunity to post a personal review. This company is by far one of the best companys I have ever dealt with. Their quality of their products is impeccable. Its EXACTLY what they promise. The meat is one of the best I have ever tasted. The delivery was great and not to mention the wonderful customer service from the salesman who came to my house to the office staff and delivery people and I received a new big freezer to hold all of my meat and frozen food in. I would like to say I am very happy with the service and would highly recommend this company to everyone..5 out of 5 stars from me ..I will definitely be renewing my contract..THANKS!!!! keep up the great service.

Run in the opposite direction if a man comes to your door offering a free trial of meat. Trust me, that meat is payed for by naive, unsuspecting customers. Very very unhappy. They didnt just want out of the contract, this should be obvious to you since they took the time to write their reviews. It is obvious to me that they indeed wanted out of the contract but ultimately wanted to warn others of falling into the same traps as they did.
So I admire and thank the people who take the time to write these reviews, helps other to avoid similar pitfalls.

Horrible customer service. I had a rep come and talk to me and my boyfriend about it and didn't realize we would be signing up for it. The rep never mentioned that I had 10 days to cancel my order. I called two days later to let them know I would not be going ahead with it. Then the lady said I would be getting a call from someone in accounts to cancel my order. I had a very busy week so I didn't even think about calling them back. They did call twice towards the end of last week but I forgot to calm back. Then today, this lady SHERYL, who happens to be the manager, calls my work and asks when I want my delivery for. I said: "I spoke to somebody last week and told them I didn't want to go ahead with it". Then she said that I was supposed to send a "registered letter" cancelling the service. I said NO ONE told me that I had to do that, and she became this horrible bully and started telling me things such as: "well you should have read your contract!" "You are over the 10 day period and if you cancel now we will see you in court". To be honest, I was pretty terrified. So I ended up obliging. I felt forced to go ahead with it because she was so rude and so threatening, plus I was at work so I couldn't talk without other people listening. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I didn't know what else to do so now I'm stuck with this company.

Please note that the comment that you are replying to is infact one year ago in September 2014.
There is no restocking fee for anyone who cancels before their 10 day cooling off period.
In This case, this person was referring to the fact that we asked them to pay for some of the costs related to their order as they tried to cancel after the products they ordered were already on the truck and headed out to them for their delivery (AFTER their 10 day cancellation period). Therefore these circumstances are different.
We believe this comment isnt justifiable whatsoever. That being said, we would like to say that we stand behind out products and services, and guarantee everything 100%.
Everything you read doesnt show you both sides of the story, especially since majority of the world only focuses on the bad instead of the good.

There is absolutely a clause that allows you to terminate your agreement within ten days of signing the contract.
After the ten days our procedure includes cutting, ordering, and proccessing your order.
At that time the contract is unable to be terminated due to the fact the ten days has passed. At this time we have now put in our time, effort, and costs in satisfying and completeing your order. If there is any way we can modify your order to better suit your needs please done hesitate to call us anytime!

Hi I am trying to cancel and they won't let me I did my math and I don't see why I have to pay so much when I'm only spending half of that don't I have what's called a cool - off (10 days) to change my mind and cancel ????
My wife and I buy everything from everyone who comes to the door. the funny thing is that my sister signed up as well and she lives in ottawa, we live 2 hours north of toronto.
a trip to costco would be 4 times cheaper, but they dont flash freeze and you would have to eat everything within 2 months.
I should have done my research prior just like the vacuum we bought for $2,000. The lack of finances has really hurt my life, we were trying to buy a new car. Once this one year experiment is over, we can start saving money!
After seeing your display at a local home show, and after discussing it at home we decided to use your service. I have to say that we are 100% pleased with the quality of the meat and groceries delivered and the cutomer service.
The delivery was on time and the goods were delivered in excellent condition, the delivery person packed my freezer in a careful manner, nothing was mishandled.
I have no regrets with signing up for this service, and I am spreading the word to my friends and family about the quality of the service and the products.

LOVE this company. My house is so full of food it makes me happily overwhelmed! My favourite part of this whole experience is that the meat comes perfectly portioned and individually vaccuumed sealed. It helps SO much with my picky children who only eat chicken while we love steak. I say try it out!
Be warned this contract cost much more than is reasonable. There is no way you will spend the amount they charge, for a week of groceries. Also know that you have 10 days to cancel a contract according to law, even if you signed it! You have to be eating a ton of meat to make this worthwhile. Even then a local butcher will be much cheaper. I absolutely do not recommend this.

Hi. I just wanted to say to anyone looking to "invest in your families food" I do not believe this is the right company. I had a sales rep come out for an appt. this week. It was not what my husband and I thought it would be. When we met the sales rep at a booth set up at the home show, they explained they could get us pretty much any of the big brands we currently use. They even had a display set up to advertise the products they carry. Then she proceeded to explain we could order our groceries weekly, whatever we needed and it would be shipped to our house. Well that was false advertising because when the sales rep sat with us in our home, he explained we will ship you 2 shipments and you pay us the same amount each week, based on what we order. almost $200/week not including fresh produce and lunch meats or bread, milk, eggs, and our baking essentials. It clearly did not fit with our budget and I was very dissatisfied with how the program was advertised. He gave us a list of the products they carry and I must say it is a rather short list. Nothing was on the list that was set up at the home show. Thankfully we did not sign a contract with this company and I also warn people to do their research and understand your food budget or else you can be suckered-in very easily.

I myself agree but I work for a small local business who also deals with contracts and from the employer side you must understand that you agreed and were aware of signing the contract therefore making a commitment. when doing so the employer on the other end does their job and puts your order/request together so I bet by doing this they are out of money as they probably ordered in your custom requests. I don't understand why people take the time to complain when all you wanted was out of the contract- and you clearly got out of it.

I just had the worst experience with this company...the sales rep came to my house told me I had 10 days to decide if we wanted to carry on with our order which we didn't after doing the math and reading reviews we decided against it but when I called them to cancel I was informed there would be a restocking fee of just over 700 dollars. I cancelled within 24 hours and they were trying to charge me a fee. I called the ministry of consumers and found out this wasn't allowed. I'm very disappointed in this company.people try to take what doesn't belong to them and in this case money...shame on you and your company, I will never give you another chance and I will make sure my friends and family are all aware.

I own and operate a children’s daycare center out of my home. I also have a family of my own. So, our house is always full of activity and of course hungry mouths to feed. My husband and I decided to have deliveries from DTH Foods to keep our kitchen supplied and lighten our load of taking on this task on our own. This has been such a convenient service for us. The truck arrived on time when scheduled, and the two delivery men were kind and helpful… It is nice to have this all taken care of for us and the kids love to see the delivery truck arrive. (the things that amuse children! Haha).
This saves us so much time out of our busy weeks. I believe it is convenient and cost saving, for us anyways!
My husband was worried about the quality of the meats and I was crossing fingers about budget and convenience .

my food came in all its original packing and was all labelled.. also, I work at a major food packaging factory and expiry dates are only for food that expires or can do harm if eaten too late. most vaccumed sealed products can stay good for years and will obviously be eaten before they need to be expired.
Food is Disgusting. No food Labels on half the food. Whats in the food they expect our families to eat?I Dont Know Where are the expiry dates? I dont know. Lets think about this for a minute. Why are certain foods taken out of their original packaging? Hmmm could it possibly be that we the consumer would have access to the expiry date of the food we are about to eat.

Since I discovered DTH Foods, I no longer deal with driving to the supermarket, spending time looking for grocery items and standing in line at the registers. WHO likes that or has time for it anyways? this company takes care of all of this for me and my family now! This is an amazing service that saves us time and money. We have our order customized which im sure they all are and it's great because then we know we et what we like and want.
What I really like about DTH Foods is their customer service and their commitment to quality. If something expires or seal breaks they replace it for free no issues. I can always speak to an agent and get exactly what I need. I also appreciate that they buy local from our farming community and are conscious about getting the best quality products for their customers. I am thrilled with the service they provide for us and now our neighbors. Each person is entitled to their own opinions just like every company in the world, but this one I especially like and I can bet you probably will too

The agent I consulted with was professional, knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. We set up a package that was the right fit for my family and a few days later we received our delivery. Direct to Home Grocery has made our lives so much easier with theirservice. We get top quality, nutritional food and many other household and grocery items delivered every week. We eat better and always have the food we need in stock at home.

We signed a contract with these people being told that if we wanted to cancel we could after 10 days... Well we decided we in fact did want to cancel after reading the horrible reviews on the company. I suggest doing your homework before not after... Anyways so we called the never next day to cancel. But just 3 days later we had a lady call from direct to home asking when we would like to have our freezer and food delivered.. so I told her "sorry you must be mistaking., we had already canceled" and that's the moment age become very nasty!!!! I've never in my life had such rude, ignorant customer service... If you cancel or have any issues with this company, I bet you will speak with her! So anyways.. She had told me I cannot cancel my contact without being charged a $900.00 restocking fee! And if I don't pay it, my credit is on the line!
Even tho I told her BYLAW I have 10 days to cancel any contract signed in my home... But instead of following the law, she decided to bully and threaten me and attempt to scare me into buying food from her.... At the end she even offered to take $500.00 off the original order!! Just don't even bother with this company... Save the stress!! And if you did just sign a contract remember bylaw you have 10 days to cancel !!
The food was good but the customer service is very Poor!! They are only about making the sale and getting the orders. They have no concept of customer retention!! Terrible service i will never ever do business with them again!!
WE placed our order the end of August and received it on the 3rd of September, my Sales Rep asked for a void CREDIT check, so that is what I provided him -- he told us all these things we would get cases of, and threw in things for FREE (which never arrived and there is no record of)
We pay 110 weekly, however just yesterday I recieved a call saying my account was over due by almost 700 because you cannot pay credit with credit -- I have never heard about that in my life, I called DTH and the lady said she would call me back, today I have called 4 times and left 2 messages and I still have no heard anything -- an update would be nice, what are you going to do for me. I have a family and am the only one working, how can I just fork out all this money because someone did something wrong, and misinformed people if they couldn't use credit card why ask for one, why not call me when the first payment didn't go through instead of having me now be almost 7 weeks behind.
I am not impressed and over stressed at this point, the food is good, the customer service not so much1
After trying most of your food we think the quality is excellent .

I think their customer service was good... i guess "to each their own opinion" because me and my family think its great!
Hi I have been ordering with this company for a couple of years now and have never had a problem, The meat is fantastic especially the salmon, I would recommend DTHFoods to anyone as it is so convenient for my family. I have 4 family members and my husband and I both work full-time. We have saved money by having our freezer full , before we found this company we spent a fortune on takeout because we could barely find the time to go shopping , I would strongly recommend this company for busy families, The customer service has always been excellent !!!!!!!!!

I signed a contrat around December 14, whe I talked to my husband we decide not to go ahead with the order, we called them, nobody answer my calls or my messeges, finally I got in touch with customer service in janauary just to find out they were close for Christmas and since I only had 10 days to cancel my contract there is was nothing they can do!
We got the delivery on January 21, it was just one guy, named James! Trying to bring a large freezer in to my home, he damage my back door, they promise to fixed....... Well 4 MONTHS LATER!!! And I'm waiting for someone to take care of this problem, nobody knows anything, sometimes they said please email me pictures so we can do on estimate.... That doesn't work! Doug "the owner" is the one who takes care of this problems , never return my calls or email or any kind or messenges, the new excuse was we are a corporation there is no owner!

They don't care about customers, there only intention it's to keep getting money from you, if you are happy or have any problems, they will ignore you!
Quality wise it's ok, they over price there food, my friends and family were really close to order from this company but after they saw was it's been happening with us they decide not to!

Terrible company!!!! Be careful to sign any contract with them !!!!! First they didn't honour what they promise: that after one year contract I could keep the freezer for free. That didn't happen. They asked to sign another one year contract and after that they said will give. Really? Because I didn't sign the second year contract they came to get the freezer and damaged my hardwood floor. In the same day I called them to complain and sent pictures. Nobody answered me. After many calls talking with the most impolite representatives of the customer service they end up saying that they were investigating.....What? Where? Who? Nobody never gave me a call back, neither answered my emails. The representative that came to my house to sell said that he couldn't help. The Manager never called me back even had asked to HR, Sales and Customer Service to talk to him. The last call they told for me to wait that their lawyer is sending a letter to say that they are not responsible for damage inside customer's house. What????? Even this letter I didn't receive yet..... That's the after sale of the DIRECT TO HOME GROCERY. NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THAT FOR ANYBODY!!!!
My wife and I are enjoying the food that has been supplied. The quality of the chicken is wonderful, the beef is fantastic and myself the battered style fish- I am shocked and wonderfully surprised at the taste texture and quality for the simple reason of being east coaster.... Very delicious!
The fish will not last too long with me.

(did i spell that right?) who cares! i just saved so much money with DTH. yay for us! my family of 6 now has it all at home. i agree with the comments below regarding time and convenience, i couldnt imagine waiting for a delivery weekly with my busy lifestyle. not to mention i only pay once a month - what could be better!!!! I say try it out - negativity is for people with sad lives and nothing better to do. I actually put my kids to bed early so i could hop in the internet and give a shout out to this company. I am yet another customer that you may contact if need be for questions... like mcdonalds says- im lovin it!

I understand that you are a business and I respect that. My personal opionion is that there are no savings or convienence. As a client I am entitled to that opinion. To the people that are happy with your business I am happy for them. I am simply giving my opinion to give people an option. For some (lg families, families with disabilities etc) DTH is worth it.... but for the average family I dont believe it is. I am entitled to my opinion. I wish you continued success. As for future clientele that may be looking into this opportunity, take the time and do your homework and make sure that it is truly worth it to you. I will say that customer service this time around was much better. The sales representative was very pleasant as well when I decided to cancel my order there was no pressure to stay.

My husband and I ordered a few years ago and were not happy with the customer service in anyway at all!!!! Surprising they didnt call us to reorder nor to pick up their freezer until just this month..they ensured us that the service and food would be better this time around..we gave them the benefit of the doubt and made the appointment. Upon placing the order which was going to cost us $5700 for the year, which was the same cost as last time but way less food, we actually took the time to calculate how much it would cost for us to buy it ourselves. And yes we overpricedand recorded brand name product prices. To purchase it ourselves it would have cost us $2500. Im sorry but a $3200 difference is not worth the time I'm saving nor convenience. Considering I'm still traveling to the grocery store for produce, bread , milk and so on at least every other week. Where is my time saving??? Its a scam. How these people can honestly feel good about what they do is mind boggling!
Me and my hubby used grocery gateway before this company. i have to say Dth foods has more benefits and savings. they give you free deliveries and bulk costing at wholesale rates rather than having to be at home weekly to obtain an order they bring you it in 2 shipments therefore leaving you with everything you need in your cupboards and freezer and not having to worry about lacking an item or being home on time to meet the delivery man. we love this
This is from personal experience, but one word I can use is WOW. there is so much food I don't know where to put it or what to do with it. I've posted pictures on my Facebook and got money back for referring friends too... I will be a definite repeat customer, feel free to contact me with questions because WOW- I just can't believe this awesomeness!
I just received my food plan from DTH Foods and am very happy. Especially close to Christmas, with my payments not starting till January its great to have unlimited amounts of food at hand for our Christmas and New Years parties. My husband has posted on his facebook pictures of the food as he is so impressed. Great company
My family is exceptionally happy with this company and service. Having food readily available is great...and having things done for us in a timely manner helped alot and proved quality
I had a couple of issues with the delivery but with in a reasonable time frame (about a week ) everything was resolved to my satisfaction.
Can't give a 5 because I didn't try al different foods yet For now 4 is appropriate.

they are picking up my food call the ministry of consumer services. Check online how to make a cancellation of your agreement and do it within the time frame and it will happen be persistent. Leave a paper tail because it may and up in court take pics of everything and do your own count there afraid to go to court cause there rip off artist
The people that said they are excellent are either employees or the owner they are the worst run company extremely rude and will not return your calls once you run into problems they are way over priced worst company ever stay far away if you investigate properly you will find many many complaints against them.

I have my order for about a month and,as convenience , has been great .I am impressed also with the quality of the meats .
Food great . Had some issues with the delivery ,Made a couple of calls and was surprised how everything has been taken care to my satisfaction .Nice to know that nowadays we still can get costumer service

My husband and I met with the DTH Sales Rep and he was wonderful. He took the time to go through everything with us and saved us lots of $$$ on our grocery bill. Our first order arrived and we already BBQ their meats. WONDERFUL !!! They delivered, packed our freezer for us and went on their way. I would highly recommend them and I will !!
This is a total scam. The delivery guy was very unprofessional, and several items were missing from our order. Their head office hung up on us and the supervisor was screaming at my wife...beyond unacceptable. The excuse was the delivery guy was on percocet and it was making him very miserable, so I should be understanding. Our problems are still not rectified.

DTH Foods has helped my family with cost efficiency, convenience and time. I have most of my foods right at my finger tips. No more gas money, travel time or missing dinner items. They had good customer service. The delivery men were kind and helpful. A few small mistakes were taken care of right away and i was compensated for the mixups. I will buy again from them. They are the worst. Stay far away from this company as you can. They are extremly nice to you when they arrange a visit and discuss food options. Once you have received the shipment you will soon realize that you have been lied to about how much money you have saved and the amount of extras that you will have to buy that is not in your order. AND THERE IS NO WAY OF CANCELLING ONCE YOU START WITH THEIR COMPANY. DO NO EVEN CONSIDER THEM . very very poor customer service you will be treated awful and soon realize it was the worst mistake you have ever made.
I recently bought from dth foods.
When they came to deliver the food our order was a disaster they did not give us what we ordered.
In my opinion this is how they scam people ,they have all kinds of excuses to why the order is wrong but in reality it is to confuse the customer to take advantage of the mistake and not provide what they say.
My wife told them that the pork tenderloin that they sent was not right and the delivery person which was the head of marketing argued it was right but in realitie it was a cheap cut of pork.
This company has come to our house two times now and still have not provided what they said they would.
I wounder how many people get scammed because of the confusion of the deliveries and lies?

i recently purchased from DTH FOODS in December and have enjoyed it. We took time to go over the cost efficiency of it and so far it has benefited us. I am happy with this service and would reccomend it to others to try out.
Do your homework and you will find out this is not a real deal but a real rip off. The package we got was supposed to save us alot money over the local grocers. After taking time to price everything at Wal-mart and Superstore. DTHG charged us $3,400.00 more then what those two stores would charge us for the same quantities and very same items. They were charging us more then double then local grocers. The beef and chicken is very thin less then a 1/2 inch thick. The order was messed up from the very first moment and the lasting a year for a family of five on a tight income is a BIG FAT LIE. In the long run we will run out in 6-8 months tops. And still be paying them for air. DO NOT GO DOWN THIS ROAD. IF it is too good to be true it probably is and this company is not a good deal.
Crappy tasting food that can not be returned. 6 kids in my house that do not like the chicken nuggets!!??? Steaks do not taste good. Customer service is the worst I have experienced. I was told on the phone, I had just wasted 15 mins. of his time.
